about
A Neo-Blues country blues ditty originally written by Big Bill Broonzy which I picked up from country/blues guitar connoisseur Stefan Grossman and added a solo section in the middle. Spoken samples featured are of acoustic blues legend Mississippi John Hurt. I first performed this one for Beach Babylon's 'A Little Bit Country' during Wellington On A Plate 2021 whilst patrons chomped on Southern chow.
Old-school, yet modern, this track is designed to fit nicely into an instrumental, blues, country, folk, or americana playlist/collection.
